Ms. Vargas has more than 35 years of experience in architectural planning, programming, design, construction contract administration, construction management, and in acting as an Owner’s representative. Ms. Vargas has managed the design and construction activities for various clients and agencies, coordinating all aspects of project related activities from concept through tenant move-in. She is well versed in the administration of all types of industry related contracts; contracts for engineers, architects, technical consultants and contractors.
Ms. Vargas recently acted as the project manager representing the Owner on several continuing care retirement communities at Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services. These various projects included renovation for accessibility, interior common area remodeling, installation of a new coffee bar, removal and installation of exterior concrete decks, renovation of home offices.
At SFO, Ms. Vargas acted as Project Manager, supervising a staff of engineers and construction managers - representing the Owner on the San Francisco International Airport consolidated rental car facility. Responsibilities included assisting owner during programming and design, review of construction documents prior to bidding, coordination of all tenant and owner interfaces during the design and construction process. Coordinated and managed construction from bidding through tenant move-in.
